Naples Senior Center, a nonprofit organization that provides comprehensive programs and social services for local seniors, has been awarded a $75,000 grant from the Moorings Park Foundation. These funds will be used for Phase Two of the Caregivers Empowerment Program, a multi-faceted support program for family caregivers of loved ones with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia (ADRD).
“We are grateful to the Moorings Park Foundation for their continued support of older adults in our community,” said Dr. Jaclynn Faffer, President/CEO of Naples Senior Center. “Caring for someone with ADRD can be a long, stressful and intensely emotional journey. The Caregivers Empowerment Program provides critical support for spouses, children, friends and others caring for a loved one so they do not have to do it all alone.”
